Lake Volvi is located 22 km from the Asprovalta - Nea Vrasna area. It is in line with Lake Koronia and is 11.5 km from it. Together, the two lakes form a wetland of international importance called "Koroneia - Volvi Lakes". The starting point for your excursions in the region of Lake Volvi can be the Koroneia - Volvi Wetland Information Center, in the settlement of Apollonia. In the center there is an environmental exhibition about the lake and the types of organisms it hosts. A half-hour guided tour can be given and informational material provided.

Agitis is the most important and largest of the tributaries of the Strymonas river, with a length of about 75 km. At the height of the village of Symboli, where the sources join, the Aggitis river begins in a labyrinthine route with vertical rocks, forming the homonymous gorge of Aggitis.

After passing outside the Alistratis Cave, it ends at the Agistas Railway Station, where the Old Bridge is located. A few meters below the railway line that passes by the Cave of Alistratis, is the Aggitis Gorge. Entrance for visitors is from the separate Contribution. The gorge is also known as "Stena Petras" and "Dioryga". In some parts of the canyon, rock paintings representing camels, deer, horsemen holding spears, but also abstract designs have been found.
